Lettings

We act predominantly on behalf of landlords in letting vacant high street/shopping centre/suburban retail properties. Rob is able to use his extensive contact base to contact virtually any occupier and deals with both major multiple retailers and small independent occupiers. We have a number of properties on the market predominantly in the Midlands but also for certain clients in other parts of the UK.

Rob Alston Retail is instructed as a letting agent and leasing advisor on Mell Square, Solihull.

We also act on behalf of occupiers seeking disposal of unexpired leasehold interests.

Acquisitions

We are currently working closely with a number of both major multiple and independent retailers in assisting them acquire retail units throughout the UK.

Castle Fine Art retain us to advise them on all acquisitions and recent transactions include new openings in Marlow and Winchester together with a relocation in Exeter. In addition Rob advised them on their recent head office relocation to Mailbox, Birmingham.

On behalf of Card Factory recent deals that Rob has been involved in are new acquisitions in Leicester, Leominster, Atherstone, Kingswinford and March.

Arlo & Jacob, the quality furniture retailer who currently have 10 stores, are now working with Rob on new acquisitions and other property matters. They have recently opened in Bath and have terms agreed on additional sites.

Rob Alston Retail acted for Carl Scarpa the Irish premium footwear retailer in respect of acquisitions in Cheltenham, Richmond upon Thames, Winchester, Bath, Harrogate, Edinburgh and Guildford.

PDSA the pet charity are also now using Rob Alston Retail to assist in acquisitions in the East Midlands and East Anglia with recent acquisitions completing in Newark, Coalville, Uttoxeter and Witham.

Asset Management/Lease Advisory

We are able to advise landlords and investors on active asset management issues and on how best to add and maintain value of their retail properties.
We also undertake lease advisory work advising both landlords and occupiers in respect of rent reviews and lease renewals.
